Teams Eliminated from World Cup 2026 So Far
The latest round of 32 matches in the World Cup 2026 has seen three more teams exit the tournament. Austria faced a clear defeat against Spain, while Algeria was eliminated by Switzerland. The toughest loss might be Croatia, who conceded a stoppage-time winner to Portugal and then had a late equalizer disallowed.
With these results, 19 teams remain in the competition. This number will drop to 16 by the end of the round of 32. Following that, the last 16 stage will see eight teams knocked out, four will leave after the quarter-finals, two will lose in the semi-finals, and only one will lift the trophy.
