Rafael Leao Linked with €60m Move to Fenerbahce Offering High Salary

Fenerbahce are intensifying their efforts to bring Rafael Leao from AC Milan, presenting the Portuguese forward with a substantial salary package. The 27-year-old is currently weighing his options as interest from the Premier League and La Liga remains quiet, giving Turkish clubs a stronger chance.

Transfer Talks Heating Up

Reports from Corriere dello Sport indicate that AC Milan aim to generate between €50 million and €60 million through the sale of Leao. Fenerbahce plan to meet with the player’s representatives soon in Milan, although no official bid has been submitted yet. Milan see selling Leao as an important step to fund new signings following arrivals like Mario Gila and Goncalo Ramos.

Leao continues to explore his future, hoping for interest from top English or Spanish clubs. To date, only Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have made concrete moves to secure him.

Attractive Financial Package on the Table

The Turkish side intends to offer Leao around €10 million per year plus bonuses, trying to outbid their local rivals Galatasaray. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Leao even spent part of his holiday in Turkey, stirring speculation about a move. Yet, AC Milan still await a formal proposal before taking further steps.

The winger is expected to take his time making a decision and will rejoin the squad for the pre-season tour in Australia. Before the World Cup, he expressed desire for a fresh challenge and seems unchanged in this mindset a month and a half later.

Hopes for Offers from England or Spain

Though Turkish interest grows, Leao prefers to see if a major club from England or Spain emerges. Gazzetta also notes he does not want to stay in Italy unless he remains with Milan. A move to Turkey is possible if the terms suit him. His World Cup performances—scoring against Uzbekistan and providing a key assist against Croatia—have not yet triggered a wider bidding war.

Future Still Undecided

For now, Leao waits to see if bigger offers come in before finalizing his next step. He plans to attend a commercial event in Brazil prior to joining Milan’s pre-season tour in Australia. The team will continue preparations in Indonesia unless Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, or another club reaches an agreement beforehand.
