Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Aurelien Tchouameni remains the most desired target for United’s midfield rebuild. Among these names, Tchouameni stands apart with his elite defensive skills, composure, athleticism, and top-level experience. If available, he'd naturally lead the shortlist.

Realistically, signing him looks tough, so players like Kone and Scott may become more likely signings before the deadline.
