2026 World Cup Live Bracket: Updated Standings and Round of 32 Knockout Schedule

The expansion of the World Cup to 48 teams introduces complexity in tracking qualifications during the final group matches. How these third-place teams fit into the bracket depends heavily on results across multiple groups, which can be quite confusing.

We provide the latest standings, match outcomes, and all possible scenarios as the group stage wraps up.

Tiebreakers

If teams finish level on points, rankings will be decided by overall goal difference, total goals scored, head-to-head results including points, goal difference, and goals scored, team conduct scores based on disciplinary records, and finally FIFA rankings. These criteria will influence who advances among closely matched teams.
