League Phase Kickoff

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase kicks off on Tuesday, September 8. The opening matchweek will stretch across three days—Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—continuing the format introduced recently. Subsequent matchweeks will feature games on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The fixtures will be revealed during the draw scheduled for Thursday, August 27.

Knockout Stage Timeline

The knockout phase begins with the playoff round on February 16, 2027. The top eight teams from the league phase will skip this and advance directly to the Round of 16, which starts on March 9.

Two draws will shape the knockout rounds: one on January 29 to set up the playoff bracket, and another on February 26 for the Round of 16 matchups.
